Attach 15-space grating to structural shape

"GN-1 ‘Narrow Grip"

G-Clip model GN-1 is a galvanized carbon steel grating fastener used to fasten 15-space bar grating to structural shapes, where the structural flange is in a horizontal plane. This unit has a narrower width than our GG-1 series.

G-Clip model GN-1 fastener consists of three parts, which are assembled at the factory into a complete installation unit, packed 50 units to a standard box.

The principal part is the grip-jaw portion of the assembly, which has a female thread form in its upper portion. This grip-jaw is die-stamped, with a single, die-cut, jaw facing upward, which contacts the underside of the structural member. The second part of the assembly is the stamped top, which fits over the grating upper surface. The grip jaw and stamped top are joined by a 1/4-20 threaded bolt, to the length required for the application.

Tools Required
G-Clips can be installed using a handheld 7/16" nut driver.

How to Order
Determine total height of grating. Describe grating configuration to specify proper top assembly to suit grating being installed.

Quantities recommended
We recommend using a grating fastened point for every four (4) square feet of grating, in average, pedestrian conditions. Where vibration is present more fasteners should be used. Grating manufacturers' recommendations should be consulted for further information.
